What Others Are Saying

What prior attendees have to say about the Life & Law in Balance Partner's Retreat at Miraval

I think the retreat was very much worth the cost. I especially appreciated the time spent on the workbooks so we could make real progress during our time there. The holistic approach of this program allows you to make discoveries, decisions, and plans that will work for all of your life, not just your career.

Erika Royal Holland & Knight

The retreat reminded me of what I need to be focused on and how I can be less reactive to things. I really enjoyed the business development and goal setting sessions plus the challenge experience. It was an excellent mixture of practical advice with ways to get in touch with emotional factors that might be impeding progress.

Amy Alderfer Cozen O'Connor

My clarity in obtaining more business will benefit me and my firm. I really enjoyed the activities, approach, and creating relationships. It's an exceptional program that forces you to be uncomfortable, which ends up being so helpful. It was truly a unique experience that I believe will help me in my personal and professional life.

Kristin Walker-Probst Severson & Werson

The integration of mindfulness into the conversation was unique and important. I feel more empowered to articulate my professional goals and priorities. I also feel more open to self-acceptance. I'd recommend this retreat for anyone struggling with the legal profession without a clear explanation as to why.

Question 1 -- Is the Life & Law in Balance Fall Retreat right for me?
The Fall Retreat is exclusively for female partners and owners. If you're a senior associate or of counsel actively seeking to make partner and build a book of business, please reach out as exceptions may be made. If you're looking to uplevel your career and find more satisfaction, this retreat is for you! If you're just wanting to rest and relax at the spa, this isn't the retreat for you. We're here to dig deep and do work that matters. Yes, we reward that work with luxurious and restorative surroundings, but our focus is on the work, not the spa...

Question 2 -- How much does it cost to stay at Miraval?
We have a group block at Miraval at a deeply discounted rate of $329 per night (plus resort fees and taxes) for a single occupancy room and $229 per person per night (plus resort fees and taxes) for a double occupancy room. This rate is only good through Monday, August 14.
Please note that Miraval is an exclusive property, which means you must be a guest there in order to attend the Retreat. In other words, you can't sign up for the Retreat and stay somewhere else (but why would you want to?!?!?!).

Question 3 - How much CLE credit can I get?
The programming has been approved for 12 hours of dual credit (regular + professionalism/ethics) in Tennessee. Many states provide automatic reciprocity while others require that you submit specific applications for approval. Check your jurisdiction for details. Credit will be submitted on behalf of Tennessee attorneys. A Uniform Certificate of Attendance will be provided to attorneys from all other jurisdictions.

Question 4 -- What is the refund policy?
Cancellations on or before July 21 will result in a refund less $750. Cancellations between July 22 and August 18 will result in a refund less $1500. No refunds will be given for cancellations on or after August 19. A substitute may, however, attend in the place of participant at no extra charge. You can access a complete copy of the Terms and Conditions HERE.

Question 5 -- What if I still have questions?
No problem. Email Heather Hubbard at heather@heatherjoyhubbard.com.
